Terms
CatchUp is an early stream-context tool operated by Joseph Oakes. These terms describe use of this free pilot.
Questions can be sent to joseph@builtby2.co.uk. Information about personal data is in the privacy notice.
What the pilot provides
The viewer opens a timeline of a creator's published context and can browse earlier connected streams. A moment may include a source-bound image or a transcript excerpt the creator has shared. Context is limited to material supplied to the companion and published for viewers; it is not a complete record of every stream.
This version is configured for Joseph's channel and the web live-video overlay placement. Creators need the separate companion to supply material. Installing the Extension alone does not capture broadcaster audio. A viewer does not need a separate viewer add-on or identity sharing to use the pilot.
Use and creator choices
- Use CatchUp in accordance with applicable law and Twitch's rules.
- Supply and publish only material you have the rights and appropriate permission to use. Take care with other people's personal, private or sensitive information.
- Do not bypass access controls, interfere with the service, or try to obtain unpublished creator material.
- Creators choose whether to enable capture and automatic context publication. Transcript quotations require a separate sharing choice. Review material before publishing when accuracy or privacy matters.
You keep your rights in your content. By supplying material and enabling the relevant feature, you permit the processing and display needed to provide that feature, including showing published context, shared excerpts and images to viewers. This does not transfer ownership of your stream to CatchUp.
Accuracy and availability
Speech recognition and generated summaries can be wrong, incomplete or out of date. Source references help you check context against the broadcast; they are not a guarantee that an interpretation is correct. Creators can correct or retract publications and revoke shared excerpts.
The pilot can be interrupted, changed or withdrawn. Its availability depends on Twitch, hosting services and the creator companion. No uninterrupted service, completeness of history or particular outcome is promised. Nothing in these terms limits rights or liability that applicable law does not allow to be limited.
Stopping use and requesting removal
Viewers can close or hide CatchUp. Creators can disable capture, pause automatic publication, change or retract published context, and remove the Extension through Twitch. Removing the Extension does not automatically delete creator recordings or the local database. Email Joseph for a correction or removal request; the privacy notice explains retention and applicable rights.
Access to the pilot may be restricted to protect the service or address misuse, legal or technical issues.
Twitch and other services
CatchUp is an independently developed Twitch Extension. Twitch's terms and policies apply to use of Twitch, and Twitch controls Extension availability on its platform. CatchUp does not post messages to chat or provide payments, subscriptions or Bits features in this pilot.
Changes and contact
